Caitlyn Jenner is single and not ready to mingle. She recently opened up about how happy she is being single her intentions to keep it that way. It seems she’s content being a single woman for the rest of her life.
Caitlyn is a well known Olympian who rose to fame in the 70s after appearing on the cover of the Wheaties cereal boxes back when her name was legally Bruce Jenner. Jenner then went on to marry Kris Jenner and was part of their widely watched reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Caitlyn made media headlines when she came out as transgender back in April of 2015. During a 2017 interview, Jenner confirmed that she had undergone gender reassignment surgery. Her first marriage was to Chrystie Crownover - the mother of daughter Cassandra and son Burt - which ended in 1981, partly due to her gender confusion. Her second marriage was to Linda Thomson, aka Elvis’s former girlfriend, who mothered Caitlyn’s sons Brody and Brandon. She revealed that her second marriage also ended after she revealed her gender dysphoria condition to her wife. She avoided marriage after her first two failed marriages and stayed alone for six years until she met Kris in 1991, who was coming off the heels of her marriage to attorney Robert Kardashian.
Since her transition, Caitlyn has only been linked to Sophia Hutchins, but according to Caitlyn, the two are just friends and she is happy living the single life. During a recent interview with OK! Magazine, the 70-year-old spoke openly about her “great realationship” she has with Sophia, who is also Caitlyn’s manager. Jenner said that she was grateful to have the 23-year-old in her life, saying, “I’m very fortunate to have a great friend in Sophia. We have a wonderful life and we do everything together. Everybody needs those people in their lives. She has her life and I have mine. We live here and we support each other. It’s a great friendship.” She then went on to reveal her plans to stay single::
In a recent interview, Caitlyn also claimed that she and Sophia were “never romantically involved” and expressed she doesn’t feel a need to talk about her romantic life. Caitlyn also recently opened up about the breakdown of her marriage with Kris in her memoir. During their 23-year-long marriage, Caitlyn fathered two children Kendall and Kylie, which was featured on Keeping Up with the Kardashians. She said, “We built an amazing family.” And becuase of that, Caitlyn doesn’t feel the need to add another relationship to the mix.
“To be honest with you, I don’t see myself having a relationship with anybody in the future. It’s not what I’m looking for. I’ve got so many other things in my life. On a scale of one to 10, that’s a one. I’ve been married three times. I’ve been done that road. I’m 70-years-old, I want to enjoy my life and I have great friends. I don’t even think about it.”
At 70-year-old, Caitlyn is fully aware of what she wants in her life and if being single makes her happy then so be it. She has the support of her children, mother, and loved ones and she’s living her best life and living in her truth.
